This video produced by students at Champion High School in Boerne TX (which went to the State UIL competition in 2024) is the story of Eva Corcoran, who was lost to suicide in 1973. However, her story lives on through a moving legacy in her 1968 Passionate Pink Mustang, a true One of One like her. Like mental health prioritization, this story tells how perseverance is the answer to shedding light on dark subjects and making them a "normal" part of our lives to end suicide.
Our vision is to make mental health a normal part of daily living by making it part of normal conversations, and breaking the stigma associated with the entire conversation. At You Are One of One, we believe in getting to the right resources when in crisis whether it be "talking with a friend", a counselor, or in worst case scenario know
Our vision is to make mental health a normal part of daily living by making it part of normal conversations, and breaking the stigma associated with the entire conversation. At You Are One of One, we believe in getting to the right resources when in crisis whether it be "talking with a friend", a counselor, or in worst case scenario knowing and being aware to dial 988, the national crisis hotline.
Eva Corcoran was a One of One just like countless others who have died due to suicide. They did not "commit" suicide, they died of a disease, a crisis, or a mental health condition. God made us all a One of One, in his image. We are on a mission to not lose any more people to this silent killer. This takes community support, resources, and daily conversation toward making suicide eradicated.
